The Dos a Dos aspect is actually pretty easy. There are basically 5 pieces of book board to it. 2 spines, 2 covers, and 1 piece for the middle. I actually have a pretty detailed set of instructions (with visuals) if you are interested…. Along with instructions for the Tunnel book if you are curious.

I’m an aspiring book artist, as well as an Air Force retiree. I’ve enjoyed seeing how you incorporate military life into your work. This is an interesting book! I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a tunnel book that is so large. I’m currently working on my first tunnel book and my goal is four layers!

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad that you enjoyed the Dos a Dos Tunnel book. It’s a small world that you fit into both of the criteria that this book is about. The medal that I used as the backdrop for this book is the “Meritorious Service Medal”. I had a ton of fun researching the medal and getting my dad’s (who received it) thoughts on it.
Best of luck on your tunnel book! It’s a lots of fun making them. If you don’t mind I’d like to check yours out when it’s done! 🙂

Sure thing! I enjoyed making the mock-up for it, so I’m sure the actual book will be even more fun! I will most likely be posting pics of completed works on my blog in addition to my regular posts.
